Hyde founded and is CEO of Rehab Incorporated that consists of Rehab Entertainment, a television, film, and intellectual rights company, as well as Rehab Consulting, an entertainment and media consulting company. Currently, He is executive producing the reimagining of Flight of the Navigator. Hyde will also executive produce an animated series based on the classic novel, Harriet the Spy with The Jim Henson Company as well as a children’s television series based on the popular pre-school book, The Kissing Hand. Hyde has also been Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Jim Henson Company since 2007, where he is focusing on strategic planning, new media, and business development. Most recently, Hyde executive produced The Happytime Murders starring Melissa McCarthy with Henson Alternative and STX Studios
2014 to 2016: John Hyde executive produced the feature film A Walk Among the Tombstones with Universal Pictures starring Liam Neeson. Through Rehab Consulting, Hyde consulted with; The Johnny Carson Foundation on an opinion letter, Bank of America/Merrill Lynch, restructuring Regent Entertainment, Plan Agent for Persik (formerly Yari Films), and served as the court-appointed Chief Restructuring Officer of Inferno Distribution.
2010 to 2013: Hyde was the President of Strategic Planning and a member of the Board of Directors for RLJ Entertainment (NASQ) the Robert Johnson company that purchased Image Entertainment. Hyde was also Vice Chairman of the Board at Image Entertainment, the leading independent distributor of DVD and digital rights in U.S.
2007 to 2009: Hyde served as Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of Starz Media who purchased IDT Entertainment in 2006 for nearly $500,000,000. Hyde was responsible for integrating the newly acquired IDT companies into the Starz group of companies. Hyde was a founding director and consultant to TM Media and Entertainment Inc. a fully funded ($82,000,000) public acquisition corporation.
2003 to 2006: Hyde was Chief Operating Officer of IDT Entertainment and CEO of Film Roman, IDTE Productions, and New Arc Productions. Through a series of acquisitions and startup subsidiaries, IDT Entertainment grew from $27,000 in revenues in 2003 to annualized revenues of nearly $250,000,000 in 2006. Hyde was responsible for organizing these acquisitions and subsidiaries and creating an infrastructure to give IDT Entertainment a cohesive production and distribution system for motion pictures, cable, DVD and television production, and distribution. Hyde oversaw all operations of IDT Entertainment day-to-day and led teams handling the due diligence, sale, and integration into Starz/Liberty Media.
2000 to 2006: Hyde was brought into Film Roman (NASDAQ: ROMN) as President and CEO to reorganize the company. Hyde successfully stopped the negative cash flow, cut back the corporate overhead, and generated new business (Tripping the Rift, Eloise, Wow Wow Wubbzy, and Motocross), while continuing to produce The Simpsons and King of the Hill and deliver them to the Fox Network on a timely basis. IDT Entertainment bought control of Film Roman in 2003.
Hyde oversaw the restructuring or reorganization of Avenue Entertainment, Filmstar, Management Company Entertainment Group, Cannon Films, Hemdale Entertainment, Reeves Entertainment, Peregrine Entertainment, Orion, AME Video, MGM, Fries Entertainment and Riklis TV Broadcasting.
Hyde is a member of both the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences where he has been nominated for 5 Emmys, winning one. He is a former officer and director of The Cousteau Society. He was a founding member, as well as Vice Chairman of the Board of the American Film Market. Hyde graduated from New York University with additional international economic studies at Leiden University in Holland.
Terissa Kelton is the VP of Development & Production at Rehab Incorporated. While running day-to-day operations, Kelton also oversees Rehab Entertainment’s entire production slate. In the feature film department, Kelton is executive producing Flight of the Navigator. In children's television, she is producing an animated series based off of the popular 1964 novel, Harriet the Spy with The Jim Henson Company, with whom she is also producing The Kissing Hand, a pre-school series based on the acclaimed book series of the same name. In digital, Kelton produced and acted in the series, PRIDE: The Series, which is now available on Amazon PRIME. She is an active member of the Hollywood Radio and Television Society as well as the Television Academy.
After college, Kelton developed and produced indie films out of Austin, Texas. She starred in and produced over ten feature films. Kelton’s work has been featured in film festivals around the United States and internationally; including the Austin Film Festival where 3 References premiered and was nominated for an audience choice award. She has also received individual nominations and won various awards for acting and directing. Kelton has returned to the Austin Film Festival as a panel moderator, notably for writer Steve Faber’s panel on Artistic Integrity. She’s also has been a feature screenplay judge for the Austin Revolution Film Festival.
Kelton graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre: Acting and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism: Electronic Media from Texas State University at the age of 21. Some of her college highlights are starring in and producing the feature film, Homecoming; anchoring for the Texas State newscast, Bobcat Update; and studying all things Shakespeare with the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-Upon-Avon, England. Kelton also held officer roles in several organizations, including Alpha Psi Omega and Bobcat Build.
